Call for Workshops
CONFEST is an umbrella event consisting of three main conferences CONCUR, FMICS and QEST+FORMATS, and affiliated workshops. We invite proposals for satellite workshops to be co-located at CONFEST 2026 (University of Liverpool, 1–5 September 2026).
All accepted workshops will be held on 5 September, 2026. The deadline for applications is January 30, 2026. Notifications will be sent by February 6, 2026.
What We Provide
For workshops accepted to CONFEST 2026, we will provide:
- Meeting room on campus
- Coffee breaks
- Centralized registration through the main conference registration system
- A webpage within the CONFEST 2026 website (with edit access) or a link to external workshop webpage
- Support for local information
What to Submit — Proposal Guidelines
If you wish to organize a workshop at CONFEST 2026, please send us a proposal including the following information:
- Name + Acronym of the proposed workshop
- Short description of the topic / goals (few lines)
- Name of the organizers / contact person, including link to their website
- Link to website or to history of the workshop (if available)
- Expected number of participants
- Envisaged length of the workshop (half day, full day)
- Publication plan, if any (formal/informal, pre/post proceedings, publisher)
- Tentative schedule for submission and notification
Organizers of accepted workshops will be responsible for: maintaining their workshop webpage, publicising the Call for Participation (if any), handling submissions (if applicable), selecting participants, preparing the workshop program, and organizing any materials or special arrangements.
Timeline for Workshop Proposals
- Workshop proposal deadline: 30 January 2026 (AoE)
- Notification: 6 February 2026 (AoE)
Submission
Please send your workshop proposal (as a PDF) to the Workshop Chair (Shufang Zhu) using the subject line: “CONFEST 2026 Workshop Proposal – WorkshopName”. Include all required information listed above. Informal questions can be directed to workshop chair.
